Dr George Themistokleous
Senior Lecturer
Architecture and Interior Design
Dr Themistokleous joins us from The Leicester School of Architecture and will be working towards strengthening the critical approach to spatial and environmental design.
George is an architectural designer, media artist and lecturer in History and Theory and Architectural Design, and director of para-sight, an interdisciplinary spatial practice that operates between media, art, and architecture.
George’s research explores the spatiotemporal environments of the digitised body and the changing role of the subject via assemblages of older and emerging visual media, including custom-made devices and participatory multimedia installations.
With his specialism in architectural design, digital architecture, and an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research, he will contribute to the future direction and curriculum of the Architecture courses.
