Architecture and Interior Design
Jason Wiggin completed his Masters in Interior Architecture at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. At Norwich University of the Arts he is a Senior Lecturer in Interior Design and a Cultural Context coordinator on the BA Interior Design and BA Architecture Course for year 1.
As an educator, Jason has experience of developing material and teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate design studios.
My work crosses disciplinary boundaries, including interior design, installations, product design, as well as scenography. I have been involved academically at a variety of institutions in South Africa and as a travelling academic, I have been involved with interior design related institutions in Brussels, the United Kingdom and China as a visiting professional.
I am past president (Director) of the African Institute of the Interior Design Professions (IID), contributing to the growth of the Interior Design professions and currently a Champion for the ARCHITECTURE LGBT+ ACADEMIC CHAMPIONS NETWORK, an alliance of academics working to improve representation and understanding of queer identity and action in architectural education.
