Norwich University of the Arts Sponsors Norwich Pride 2024

Norwich University of the Arts is once again proud to be the education and arts sponsor for this year’s Norwich Pride.

Norwich Pride returns to the city centre for its 16th year on Saturday, July 27. The highlight of the day will be the Norwich Pride March, which will navigate through the city streets as a powerful symbol of protest, visibility, and unity.

Professor Simon Ofield-Kerr, Vice-Chancellor of Norwich University of the Arts, said: “Being at University is about more than just learning; it’s about living in a welcoming environment. I’m delighted we can support Norwich Pride, an event that celebrates not only LGBTQ+ equality, but understanding and respect across all our communities. We value the contributions of all people, regardless of background, sexual orientation, or gender identity, in creating a successful, safe, open, and inclusive society.”

The heart of Norwich Pride is the march through the city centre streets, led by local grassroots groups and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The day will be packed with events at The Forum, along Theatre Street, and in Chapelfield Gardens.

For the full programme, visit the Norwich Pride website.

Norwich’s ongoing support for Norwich Pride underscores our dedication to promoting equality and celebrating diversity within the university and our broader community.
