Congratulations to Norwich University of the Arts third year students Ciara Spencer, Ellisha Mason, Michael Rixon and Noreen Honest for their awards at Graduate Fashion Week 2023 which took place at Truman Brewery, London.
Winners from BA (Hons) Fashion included Ciara Spencer, who won the Footwear Award, and Michael Rixon, who won the Norwich University of the Arts catwalk and went onto exhibit in The Best of Graduate Fashion Week 2023.
From BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion, Ellisha Mason won the Moving Image Award and Noreen Honest won the Creative Direction and Styling Award.
Noreen Honest said:
“I was shocked to be nominated for three awards and feel very blessed to have managed to win one of the Graduate Fashion Week awards. The judging panel had a very difficult job with so many talented people attending the competition.
“I am just grateful for a chance to exhibit my work as it marked the beginning of my career and solidified my confidence in the body of work I produced titled, ‘A New Protagonist.”
Ellisha Mason said:
“For many of us on Fashion Communication and Promotion, being shortlisted for Graduate Fashion Week is something we work towards all year, so going on to win feels very surreal!”
“I put my heart and soul into this project and got to work alongside some very talented people so I’m so happy to receive such positive recognition from industry and my peers.”
In addition to our winning students, 9 students were shortlisted for a further 9 awards.
