Bulletproof founder, Gush Mundae awarded Honorary Professorship from Norwich University of the Arts
Founder of Bulletproof, the largest global, independent, brand agency in the world, Gush Mundae has been recognised with an Honorary Professorship from Norwich University of the Arts.
He was awarded his Honorary Professorship For Services to Leadership in the Communications Design Industry during the University’s summer graduation ceremonies, which were held at Carrow Road on 11 and 12 July
Leaving India at the age of five, Gush moved to London with his family, where he grew up on a diet of Hip Hop, PK Rippers, Tacchini and Krylon, his love of street art leading him to study Graphic Design and Typography at the behest of an art teacher.

After graduating in a recession and getting some agency work under his belt, Gush felt compelled to create a new agency with creativity at its heart and an entrepreneurial, fearless spirit. No business plan, no risk strategy, no boundaries – just the desire to create the best possible work for clients large and small. Gush convinced art collegemate Jonny Stewart to join him and so Bulletproof was born – its name a reference to the crit wall, where only the most impenetrable ideas wouldn’t be shot down.
Today, Bulletproof is the largest global, independent, brand agency in the world, headquartered in London with eight global studios.
Gush leads the team in creating impenetrable ideas to drive creatively and commercially successful brands, with provocative and unorthodox approaches and a restless curiosity. He has worked with an inspirational variety of clients from start-ups through to global giants such as Mondelēz International, Diageo, Booking.com and the IoC.
Speaking about his Honorary Professorship, Gush, said: “I am so grateful to be made an Honorary Professor by Norwich University of the Arts. Education and equal opportunity for everyone to reach their full potential matters deeply to me, and it’s something that we actively strive to support at Bulletproof.
This University holds a meaningful place in Bulletproof’s heart. Over the years, our creativity and culture has been enriched by the fantastic creative talent that Norwich has nurtured. Through our careers scheme, we have welcomed so many brilliant Norwich alumni, 14 of whom are still working with us today, such as Beth Drummond, our Associate Creative Director and Natasha Carruthers, one of our Junior Designers. It’s a privilege to partner with the inspiring team here to support them in empowering some of the brightest young minds shaping the future of our creative industry.”
Professor Simon Ofield-Kerr, Vice-Chancellor of Norwich University of the Arts, said:
“The visionary founder of the global brand agency Bulletproof, Gush’s entrepreneurial spirit and remarkable achievements have not only transformed the industry but also inspired countless students, including many of our alumni. His relentless pursuit of excellence, coupled with an unwavering commitment to innovation, has set a new standard in design leadership.”
