Norwich University of the Arts Competition Celebrates Outstanding Creative Talent
A remarkable textile artwork by student Beatrix Ellerby from Norwich School has taken top prize in this year’s Norfolk Art and Design Competition.
The annual competition run by Norwich University of the Arts showcases creative student talent from sixth forms and colleges in Norfolk.
Professor Simon Ofield-Kerr, Vice-Chancellor of Norwich University of the Arts, said; “This competition is a wonderful celebration of the next generation of artists, makers, and creators in our region. The judges were impressed by the exceptional quality of work this year, as well as the diverse range of ideas, formats, and media that the students incorporated into their entries.”

The winning artwork by Beatrix, winning £100 in vouchers, was inspired by coral bleaching and aimed to raise awareness about the fragile beauty of coral reefs and the importance of protecting our oceans.
Second prize in this year’s competition went to Callum King, from Access Creative College, and third prize went to Evie Cleere from Reepham College.
