Norwich graduates recognised at TIGA UK Games Education Awards
TIGA, who represent the UK video games industry, have named Norwich graduate Charlie O’Shea ‘Outstanding TIGA Graduate of the Year: Designer’.
Charlie O’Shea, a Norwich University of the Arts graduate from BA (Hons) Games Art and Design, has been named ‘Outstanding TIGA Graduate of the Year: Designer’ at the TIGA UK Games Education Awards 2025.
He is joined by Millie Rye, Oliver Davis and Sam Goodwin in TIGA’s announcement, who have been named as finalists.
TIGA is the trade association representing the UK’s video games industry, and their education awards recognise outstanding students, leading education providers and best practice within the sector. The awards are grouped into several categories aligned to specialisms within the video games industry, from design and artwork through to programming and audio.
The full list of awards for Norwich University BA (Hons) Games Art and Design graduates is:
- Charlie O’Shea, Winner, Outstanding TIGA Graduate of the Year: Designer
- Millie Rye, Finalist, Outstanding TIGA Graduate of the Year: Artist
- Oliver Davis, Finalist, Outstanding TIGA Graduate of the Year: Designer
- Sam Goodwin, Finalist, Outstanding TIGA Graduate of the Year: Production / Enterprise
In response to the news Jake Montanarini, Course Leader for BA (Hons) Games Art and Design and BSc (Hons) Games Development at Norwich said:
“Having our students recognised, both as finalists and winners, by TIGA is one of the highest acknowledgements of the work the students do and the value the staff bring to the Games courses at Norwich University.
“Our students continually push creative and technical boundaries, and it’s so inspiring to see their ambition and achievements celebrated on a national stage. This is a real celebration of our community and validation of the award-winning learning experience at Norwich.”
