The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is the senior management decision-making body of the University.
Collectively, members of the SMT are responsible for developing and implementing the vision and strategy of the University, providing academic and operational leadership, and acting as ambassadors to promote the University’s mission, activities and values.

The University was established as an independent higher education institution under Section 121 of the Education Reform Act 1988, and is a recognised body with taught degree awarding powers.
