Beyond the Frame 2022 winners announced
Now in its fifth year, the competition invited entries from students aged 11 – 19 worldwide on the broad theme of ‘Curiosity‘, with nearly 500 responses covering a wide range of themes and styles.
Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s competition.

Congratulations to Yuhan Song, 15, from The Maderia School (USA), and Lydia Jones, 18, from Thorpe St Andrew Sixth Form who have won the Under-16 and Over-16 awards respectively. Well done!
Judges’ Choice Awards
Freya Moss, 16, from Kings Ely, chosen by Àsìkò, visual artist and photographer who has been featured in publications such as CNN Africa, BBC London, Nataal magazine and the Guardian. Evie MacCallum, 17, from Hellesdon Sixth Form, chosen by Emily Edwards, professional food and drink photographer who graduated from BA (Hons) Photography at NUA in 2021. Eva Curley, 17, from West Suffolk College, chosen by Canon Ambassador and travel photographer Lucia Griggi, who has worked with brands such as Warner Brothers, CBS, BBC, Patagonia and Vans, as well as internationally recognized and awarded by National Geographic. Arabella Cruikshank, 15, from Pitlochry High School, chosen by James Smith, Photography Course Leader at Norwich University of the Arts.“The quality of work is always extremely high for Beyond the Frame, and this year’s competition was no exception. After two years of delivering the awards event online, it was great to welcome entrants onto our campus both in-person and virtually this year.”
