Norwich University of the Arts is proud to announce that it has been named the inaugural Arts University of the Year by the Daily Mail University Guide.
This prestigious recognition highlights Norwich’s unwavering dedication to its students and excellence in arts education. The award also acknowledges the University as a vital asset to both academia and the broader community, celebrating the University’s significant contributions to the cultural and educational landscape.
The Daily Mail University Guide highlights the University’s exceptional success in preparing students for high-skilled careers in the creative industries. The University’s Profile system, which integrates employability skills with artistic creativity, was particularly praised for its effectiveness in fostering graduates’ progression into successful careers.
“The combination of delivering a great arts education across a focused range of courses, structured and insightful preparation for successful careers in the creative industries, and a clear commitment to social inclusion in its admissions policies made Norwich University of the Arts a compelling choice for Arts University of the Year.”
Professor Simon Ofield-Kerr, Vice-Chancellor for Norwich University of the Arts, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be named as the Daily Mail’s first ever Arts University of the Year.
“At Norwich we are committed to critical creativity, a unique approach delivered through industry-led and cross-disciplinary projects, designed to support our students to be the most effective independent creatives, fulfil their potential and acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding that they need to shape our world for the better.
“This award, along with being recognised as the only arts specialist university to achieve triple gold in the latest Teaching Excellence Framework, is a testament to the strength and depth of teaching and learning at our university. It reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff and, most importantly, the unwavering commitment of our students to their creative pursuits.”
